VU.CITY is pleased to reveal that we feature in the PropTech 50 innovation ranking for 2026!

Readers of online technology publication BusinessCloud and an expert judging panel together decided the 50 most innovative startups, scaleups and established technology firms in property. VU.CITY was selected from a shortlist of 130 UK companies.

Why VU.CITY made the cut

VU.CITY made the ranking with its spatial intelligence platform, built on 4D city models. The platform brings existing buildings, consented and proposed schemes, and change over time into one trusted, shared view of a place.

Local authorities, planning consultants, architects, developers and asset managers use VU.CITY to test proposals in context, understand how an area is changing, and give everyone involved in a decision the same accurate picture.

The platform at a glance:

  • 10 government-trusted 4D city models
  • Trusted by 28 of London's 33 boroughs and the Greater London Authority
  • 100% of London modelled
  • Over 35,000 km² of coverage
  • Survey-accurate geometry to 15cm, consistent across the models
  • Photorealistic detail and survey accuracy in the same model
  • Consented future developments shown as a navigable 4D timeline
  • Models refined through verified feedback from councils, consultants and architects

The PropTech 50 celebrates businesses of all sizes creating original technology for real estate, construction, the built environment and building management.

What they said

“PropTech is becoming smarter, greener - and increasingly powered by AI,” said Jonathan Symcox, editor of BusinessCloud.

“This year’s ranking showcases innovators tackling real-world challenges across the entire property lifecycle – from urban planning and construction to sales, rentals, energy efficiency and building management. These companies are solving genuine problems rather than simply digitising existing processes.”

BusinessCloud called on its readers to vote for companies from the 130-strong shortlist over seven days. A combination of these votes and choices from an expert judging panel determined the top 50.
