VU.CITY MODELS

Lord’s Cricket Ground is located in St John’s Wood and the name is taken from the man who owned it, Thomas Lord. It is considered to be “the home of cricket” and is owned by Marylebone Cricket Club. It’s currently the home of Middlesex County Cricket Club, England and Wales Cricket Board and the European Cricket Council.

About the project

We began the modelling process by capturing our LOD3 Photogrammetric model of Lords and its surrounding area with very high-resolution aerial imagery. This included the grounds and all stands as well as a terrain model. We then upgraded our model to LOD4 by adding materials to parts of the ground for a more accomplished finish.
